Falls

Proactive falls prevention aimed at preventing the ramifications of some falls
Falls and related injuries among the older population are a significant cause of pain, loss of confidence, increased anxiety, disability and ultimately loss of independence.
Proactive falls prevention is key to avoiding potential discomfort and social isolation.
A falls programme includes an initial assessment of the client’s physical ability, home environment & functioning; recommendations for adaptations and/or equipment provision to minimise risks; and education for prevention and management of falls risks.
